This very rare 1952 Volkswagen Karmann Cabriolet was acquired in 2002 by its current owner, one of the foremost Volkswagen authorities and collectors in the world. Since then, this important example has been fully restored and become an important part of the owner’s Tennessee based Volkswagen collection. The total cosmetic and mechanical restoration was performed to the highest standards by marque expert Robert Koch of California. The result is that this very early example of the Karmann Cabriolet is an exceptionally attractive example presented with outstanding panel fit and finish as well as being in perfect mechanical condition. The engine has been rebuilt with an unnumbered New Old Stock block to original factory specifications and produces 25 horsepower from its 1131 cc displacement. As a result, this automobile is good for a top speed of about 65 miles per hour.
